You can, put you have to go to someone that specializes in pregnant women.

Some treatments you can. They have specific massages (usually called a pea in the pod massage) that you can do. Also you should be able to do body wraps, pedicures, and manicures. It is just some of the pressure points they use in massages could put to much pressure on your abdomen.

A lot of spa treatment places use oils in their products/treatments which can potentially cause problems with the baby…. including miscarriages…. every spa i would imagine would be under the strictest rules not to give treatments to women who are pregnant cos they dont want to be thought of as being responsible for such a thing to happen. Its a huge liability.

If your doctor says no, then it’s a no. NEVER go against your OBGYN, because they’re only looking out for you and your baby. If you’re asking this because the spa won’t do it, then there’s obviously a reason. You can always ask. If you’re not doing it because your friends say you can’t, ask your doctor. Besides, why do you care about cellulite? Won’t your wedding dress cover it up anyway?

Ask your obgyn – but you should be fine. As long as they are not using anything on your skin that can be absorbed and harmful to the baby.

when a woman is pregnant she has extra blood volume and going into a spa and a hot tub is a bad idea since the veins are arteries expand to the surface of the skin which means less amount of nutrients to get to the baby.

dont tell them but dont get their special creams
bring your own oil

Anything that goes onto your skin gets to the baby.
